This key was the second key I made, or perhaps I should say attempted to make, at the time it was a bit of a disaster as the action was completely
useless, in effect the design was more than my abilities to make it, and so rather than break it up until recently it has served me well as a paper weight!
but whilst waiting for some bases to arrive I thought I might have another go at it using the experiences of over 80 key projects and a better equipped
workshop, at the time it was first made I was still under the impression that bearings had to be tight and hammered in so to speak, also I had no idea
of how positioning of contacts and the type of spring tension could effect the feel of a key, so this key has now had a major refit, bearings have been
refitted, contact points repositioned and the tension spring changed, also various steel parts have been changed for brass, and all the parts trimmed
and realigned, now it is a working key, I won't say it is excellent but the equal to most standard ex military keys, also it is very quiet very useful if you
are a spy or have young children asleep :))
