| This key was an early experiment with Alloy bearings which didn't work out to well at first as I tried to mount the bearings directly on the wooden base, and I also had problems with the bearings alignment when they were tightened up, this was overcome by mounting the bearings on brass washers and fitting bearings on both sides of the mountings, with this and the slightly sprung arm it produced a really nice key I used it quite a bit and it was one of my favourite early keys.
