This key was made when I was experimenting with various aspects of Morse Key design, originally it was made as a single horizontal spring tensioner with no counter weight, later I tried a second horizontal soft spring to counter the first hard spring, it worked fine but was difficult to adjust as there was to little room at the end of the key to take the adjusters, so the final modification was a vertical soft spring dropped down from the top bar, I learnt a lot from making and using this key which although now looks a bit careworn is a nice fingertip key.
