Yet another Magnetic key, this one is a real fun key, as I'm still experimenting with the effects of magnets in different layouts and types of key action, Again it will be a finger key but with an all brass lever, and although it will be a fun design hopefully the action will be very effective as I intend to use the superb combination of hidden ball races magnetic tension and sprung contacts, the bearing holders are spun knurled disks, I'm designing as I go here using up bits and pieces left over from previous projects, I've tried a new system with the bearings, getting them aligned to the axle of the key is always a problem, this time I thought I might bolt and solder the bearing holders on to the base plate and make the bearings a loose fit until everything is lined up and then drip in some liquid resin between the bearing outer ring and the holder, capillary action filling the fine gap producing a solid fit, I don't usually use modern materials but as this is just a fun key there is room for experiment :) also the earlier handle was to long and heavy upsetting the balance of the key, so it has now been shortened and reshaped into a serpentine look , as I hoped it has a very nice action, the magnets in repulsion mode giving  it  very smooth feel, a nice fun key with a very nice action...
