This key is another scrap box test bed key, normally it wouldn't exist as its purpose was to try out different design aspects of the key to follow it
No 075 but following my criteria of if I made a key and it got to the stage of actually being a good working key then it should be kept and a record
made of it, making dual role keys is tricky and I've found it impossible to follow my usual key making practise of a few sketches and then design as
I go so to speak, or designing "On the hoof" as its been described :) to much work goes into the project to find out later that a part has been a waste of time and I need to modify it or backtrack on the design, better to test out aspects of the new design using low cost bits from the scrap box, below
you can see various design phases this key was used for, it was made from scrap water pipe parts basically as a test bed for dual role key at the end of the day I ended up with a pile of bits and pieces which rather than consign them back into the junk box I made them into this single purpose useable little  novelty key above, the bearing mount idea is really good and will be used on my next key, I've made up some chunky tommy bar adjusters fitted a repulsion Neo magnetic tensioner and Nickel plated the whole key, it now has an excellent hard machine type action, a really ace wacky key.
