Yet another G3YUH fun key :) I just love making them, I looked in my scrap brass bin and found I had quite a bit of Hex shaped bar, usually I've found Hex bar is not much use for key making so to prove a point I'm going to try and construct a usable little key made entirely from Hex bar, it is quite difficult as everything has to line up nicely or it looks a bit odd, the bearings are from and old Hard drive and are excellent although an odd size so I've bored out some bar to take them and slotted them so I can gently tighten them into place, the tensioner is magnetic attraction and very smooth , also fitted a ball knob, I had reservations at first with the design as its a little over engineered around the bearings but now having used it I'm very pleased with it, basic 80 series dimensions precise with a slight spring to it, nice medium sized unique key with an action to match.
