This is is another YUH  fun project, as you can see its a BIG brass key over 22cm long, the trick was to change it into a working Morse key, the idea came from a friend of mine who passed on some pictures of an Elvira Spookey from the October 2003 CQ "Keys Special" column, its another real Ham Key, the bearing holders are old brass water pipe fittings  and the huge 22mm ballrace bearings are from an old child's scooter donated by the feisty young lady next door who has now grown up and has other things on her mind than scooters :() and the added advantage of this particular key is the handle, which also doubles as a bottle opener!! ideal for NFD's when some idiot has forgotten to bring one :) The Black stone base also adds a touch to the "Spookey" and carefully balancing the weight against the hard spring it has a very nice action indeed, I've enjoyed making this key :()
