This is my key 126 basically its and attempt at a vintage style of key but with some magical dimensions to give it an exceptional performance, most vintage keys that I've tried are not very good in my humble opinion, maybe for quite a few reasons, old rusty hard springs and badly weighted, maybe ok to signal the next train coming but hard on the wrist for relaxing Amateur rag chews, so this key has the looks of a vintage key but has been carefully weighted to give it a really lightweight feel, together with the spring tension being close in to the pivot point and of course end contacts mounted on a thin shock absorbing brass strip, gone is the loud telegraph office clicking usually associated with this style of key, this one is very quiet with more of a soft thud than a click, the contact gap spacing is done with a crush bar contact bridge which can be gently tightened so that small precise adjustments can be made with one hand and with an arm length of only 120mm it is a smart little key, I'm very pleased with it. |
