This is key 140 It is another in the "Vintage" style, I have been impressed by the early Swedish designs of the Ericsson line (now being an owner
of two originals) so after making a few early attempts at vintage style keys including one small scale I thought I might have another go at trying to capture the essence of these great keys, this is a big heavy full size key, and whilst making it I have reached the capacity of my tooling, my modest 4in lathe struggled with turning the huge tensioner knob and cutting the thick brass mounts, and my little pillar drill had trouble with drilling the bearing block, so this is as big as it gets for me Morse key wise. Above you can see the main parts assembled, there is still a little to do, like  the silver contacts fitted, the terminals and tension adjuster now being Nickel plated work well,  the wooden base is  a tailor made Mahogany one which is new for me as I usually use Oak,  it has the sort of action you usually only dream about and I've EVEN polished the brass a little (take note Bill NT9K)
